Como once again proved they are not just Serie A newcomers passing through. Cesc Fabregas' team displayed ferocity and confidence as they demolished Torino 5-1 at Stadio Olimpico Torino during Matchday 12 of the 2025/26 Italian League early Tuesday morning WIB (November 25, 2025).

Dominance by this Indonesian-owned club was evident from the start, despite both teams arriving with lengthy injury lists. Torino limped into the match without Ardian Ismajli, Ivan Ilic, and Giovanni Simeone.

Saul Coco was only fit enough for the bench, while Che Adams withdrew suddenly due to illness. This forced Duvan Zapata into his first start in over a year since last October's ligament injury.

Fabregas also missed key players like Assane Diao, Sergi Roberto, Edoardo Goldaniga, and Alberto Dossena. Yet the Spanish coach maintained an aggressive approach by starting Jayden Addai, Nico Paz, Jesus Rodriguez, and stand-in captain Alvaro Morata.

Como nearly opened scoring in the 25th minute when Lucas Da Cunha's free kick caused chaos in the box. However, Ivan Smolcic and Morata both failed to convert from point-blank range.

The deadlock finally broke in the 35th minute through a now-familiar combination. Rodriguez surged down the left and delivered a cross that Addai finished first-time. Como led 1-0.

But before halftime, a penalty box incident changed the game's trajectory. The ball struck Rodriguez's hand, and after lengthy VAR review, a penalty was awarded. Nikola Vlasic coolly converted to level at 1-1.

The second half showcased Como's attacking sharpness. The Rodriguez-Addai connection again proved lethal.

Rodriguez's pass found Addai who blasted into the bottom corner, putting Como ahead 2-1 - Addai's second goal of the night.

Rodriguez should have extended the lead but wasted a golden chance after receiving Morata's pass.

This lapse didn't shake Como's resolve. From a corner kick, Maxi Perrone delivered a perfect cross that Jacobo Ramon headed home for the 3-1 lead in the 71st minute.

Thirteen minutes later, Nico Paz made it 4-1. Initially ruled offside, VAR confirmed Niels Nkounkou hadn't stepped up, validating the goal.

This marked Paz's fifth goal, tying him with Christian Pulisic, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Riccardo Orsolini as Serie A's joint top scorers.

Torino collapsed further when Alieu Njie's critical error gifted Martin Baturina acres of space.

The new Como signing dribbled from midfield before slotting past goalkeeper Alberto Paleari to seal the emphatic 5-1 victory.

This win propelled Como to sixth place in the temporary standings with 27 points, leapfrogging Juventus and threatening Serie A's upper echelon.

Under Fabregas' shrewd guidance, Como is now emerging as a serious new force to be reckoned with.
