From the kickoff, Inter immediately controlled the game. The attacking duo of Lautaro Martinez and Francesco Esposito formed the focal point of the visitors' offense.
Inter's dominance resulted in a goal in the 42nd minute when Federico Dimarco broke the deadlock, capitalizing on Esposito's pass.
Dimarco's goal was initially disallowed for a suspected offside, but after VAR review, the referee confirmed it. Inter led 1-0 at halftime.
In the second half, Inter maintained dominance and continued pressing the hosts' defense.
To boost attacking power, Cristian Chivu made a forward-line change by introducing Marcus Thuram for Esposito in the 79th minute.
Chivu also substituted Lautaro Martinez in the 85th minute, replacing him with Yann Bisseck to reinforce the defense.
Inter finally secured the victory through a swift counterattack in the 98th minute. Receiving a lofted pass from Nicolo Barella, Marcus Thuram evaded his marker and chipped the ball over Parma goalkeeper Edoardo Corvi. Inter won 2-0.
