Sassuolo had to leave the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium without any points. Playing with their strongest lineup including Indonesian national team defender Jay Idzes, Neroverdi returned empty-handed after being defeated 0-2 by Como in the 13th week of Serie A, early Saturday morning, 29 November 2025 WIB.
Como, who have been surprisingly impressive this season under Cesc Fabregas' guidance, maintained their positive trend.
Goals from Anastasios Douvikas and Alberto Moreno secured three points for the hosts while extending their remarkable unbeaten streak to 13 consecutive matches since their 0-1 loss to Bologna on 30 August.

Como Accelerates, Sassuolo Powerless
From the first minute, Como displayed high intensity. Their pressure paid off in the 14th minute when Douvikas received the ball in the penalty box and unleashed a powerful left-footed shot into Sassuolo's bottom corner beyond goalkeeper Arijanet Muric's reach.
Sassuolo attempted to respond through chances from Andrea Pinamonti and Nemanja Matic before halftime. However, their lack of sharp finishing prevented an equalizer, leaving the hosts leading 1-0 at the break.
Como's Second Goal Deals Decisive Blow
Entering the second half, Sassuolo tried to turn the tide. Armand Lauriente nearly leveled with a fierce strike, but Jean Butez reacted sharply to deny the golden opportunity.
Instead, Como doubled their lead in the 53rd minute. Nico Paz's cross found Alberto Moreno whose powerful header beat Sassuolo's defense, including Jay Idzes who had attempted to close the space.
This goal put the match entirely under Como's control.
Idzes Plays Full Match, Yet Sassuolo Still Fails to Rally
Jay Idzes completed the full 90 minutes, showing discipline in covering spaces and making several crucial interceptions.
Nevertheless, Sassuolo remained unable to contain Como's methodical attacks or produce the desperately needed reply goal.
For Idzes and Sassuolo, this was a night where hard work proved insufficient. They returned home empty-handed. While Como climbed the standings with swagger, demonstrating they're a genuine threat in this season's Serie A.
