Mohamed Salah's transfer saga has entered a new chapter. After concluding his nine-season spell at Liverpool, the Egyptian star is reported to have reached an agreement to join Trabzonspor during the summer transfer window.
This news has attracted massive attention across global football, as Salah was previously linked with numerous elite clubs, most notably sides from Saudi Arabia that had been pursuing one of the greatest African players of all time.
Over the past several weeks, Salah's future has been the subject of intense speculation. Clubs including Al Ittihad, Al Hilal, Al Nassr, Al Ahli, Al Qadsiah and Al Diriyah were all named as interested parties for the player.

Alongside Saudi Pro League clubs, two Turkish sides, Besiktas and Trabzonspor, also appeared on the list of suitors for the former Liverpool forward.
Now, clarity is finally beginning to emerge over Salah's next career step. Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has confirmed that the 34-year-old has given his approval for the move to Trabzonspor.
Posting via his personal account on the X platform, Sabuncuoglu revealed Salah has agreed terms on a two-year contract with the Turkish powerhouse club.
That being said, the transfer process is not yet fully completed. One remaining clause within the contract still requires formal approval from Trabzonspor's management before official signing can take place.
Provided this clause is mutually agreed, Salah will be officially unveiled as Trabzonspor's new signing imminently.
The path to this agreement did not run smoothly. Early in the transfer window, Salah was first heavily linked with Besiktas, before negotiations for that move encountered reported obstacles.
At the same time, Al Ittihad made another attempt to sign the former AS Roma star with a high-value financial offer.
However, according to the reports, Salah opted to continue his playing career in the Turkish top flight rather than accept a proposal from any Saudi Arabian club.
If this transfer is fully finalised, Trabzonspor will become the seventh professional club of Salah's career.
Prior to this, he has represented El Mokawloon Al Arab in Egypt, Basel in Switzerland, Fiorentina and AS Roma in Italy, as well as Chelsea and Liverpool in England.
Out of all these clubs, his tenure at Liverpool stands as the most successful period of Salah's career.
Across nine seasons playing for The Reds between 2017 and 2026, he cemented his status as one of the club's all-time greatest icons, with an extraordinary record of goals and assists alongside multiple prestigious trophy wins.
Salah helped Liverpool lift two English Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League trophy, the UEFA Super Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, plus a range of other domestic honours.
Now, a new challenge awaits the player widely known as "The Egyptian King" in Turkish football.
