AFC Officially Announces 2027 Asian Cup Schedule

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) officially released the full schedule and match agenda for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup final tournament via its official website on Monday, 2 March 2026.
This 19th edition of the tournament will be hosted in Saudi Arabia Running from 7 January until 5 February 2027. Three cities have been confirmed as host locations: Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Khobar, with a total of 8 stadiums utilised across the entire competition.
Both the opening match and the tournament final will be held at King Fahd Sports City, Riyadh. This 72,000-seat venue is also scheduled to host four group stage fixtures, one Round of 16 match on 24 January, as well as one Quarter Final on 29 January.

Still in Riyadh, the 26,000-capacity King Saud University Stadium will host five group stage matches and one Round of 16 fixture on 25 January. Meanwhile, Kingdom Arena is scheduled to stage four group stage matches, one Round of 16 tie on 22 January, and one Quarter Final on 28 January.
Another venue in the Saudi capital is Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud University Stadium, with 25,000 spectator capacity, which will host five group stage fixtures and one Round of 16 match on 23 January. The 13,000-capacity Al Shabab Stadium will also host four group stage matches and one Round of 16 tie on 22 January.
Moving to Jeddah, the 60,000-seat King Abdullah Sports City will host five group stage matches, one Round of 16 fixture on 25 January, one Quarter Final on 28 January, and a Semi Final on 2 February. Meanwhile, Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City, with 26,000 seats, is scheduled to host four group stage matches and one Round of 16 fixture on 24 January.
A brand new 45,000-capacity stadium in Al Khobar will also be used for all tournament stages except the final. This venue will host four group stage matches, one Round of 16 tie on 23 January, one Quarter Final on 29 January, and the first Semi Final on 1 February.
The AFC confirmed that match pairings and official kick-off times will only be finalised after the final tournament draw, which is scheduled to be held on 11 April 2026. The last four remaining qualification slots for the final tournament will be confirmed following the closing qualifying round matches on 31 March 2026.
Notably, this edition will mark the first time the AFC implements the Team Base Camp (TBC) concept. Under this system, every participating team will receive dedicated accommodation and exclusive training facilities for the full duration of the tournament, including additional logistical support for Travel between match cities.
Backed by complete preparations and modern infrastructure, the 2027 AFC Asian Cup is projected to become one of the most spectacular editions in the history of Asian football.
