Good news for Nature Tourism enthusiasts who are planning School Holidays. The Bromo Glass Bridge is confirmed to begin operations at the end of June 2026, coinciding with the School Holiday season — one of the busiest periods within the Mountain Tourism zone of Bromo.

This confirmation follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park Grand Office (BB TNBTS) as the asset owner, and CV Sinergi Permata Semesta which will act as the official manager for this tourist attraction.

The launch of Bromo Glass Bridge is expected to enrich visitor experiences in the Bromo area, while also increasing Tourist Arrival rates to Probolinggo Regency and surrounding regions.

Head of BB TNBTS Rudijanta Tjahja Nugraha stated that all leased assets will be allocated solely to support nature tourism activities within this protected Conservation area.

"All leased assets will be utilized for nature tourism operations as part of BB TNBTS Grand Office commitment to improve visitor services," stated BB TNBTS Head Rudijanta Tjahja Nugraha in an official written release on Friday.

According to Rudijanta, the asset lease agreement is valid for 5 years, effective from 11 June 2026 until 10 June 2031. Managed assets include the 2,429 square meter plot designated for the Bromo Glass Bridge tourism zone.

"Additional managed facilities also include a shuttle area and supporting infrastructure for the Glass Bridge covering 791 square meters, plus a glass-floored pedestrian bridge on the district collector road with an area of 360 square meters," he added.

This management arrangement follows the official asset handover previously conducted by the Ministry of Public Works to the Ministry of Forestry back in October 2025.

Rudijanta explained this entire infrastructure was designed from the initial planning stage to strengthen Bromo's standing as one of Indonesia's flagship national tourist destinations.

"This infrastructure was constructed to support development of the National Strategic Tourism Zone, while reinforcing the nature tourism appeal of this protected conservation area," he stated.

Meanwhile, Achmad Ridho, Managing Director of CV Sinergi Permata Semesta confirmed that all technical preparations are currently underway prior to official public opening of the attraction.

"In the coming period before the June school holiday season begins later this month, we are fully committed to launching operational services for the Bromo Glass Bridge on schedule," he stated.

Before welcoming visitors, management will carry out full technical inspections and pre-operational maintenance works to verify all facilities are operating at optimal condition.

Safety is the absolute top priority. Ridho confirmed that all operations of the Bromo Glass Bridge will strictly comply with all standard operating procedures issued by the Geotechnical, Tunnel and Structure Agency (BGTS).
