Krisdayanti Wins Gold Medal at the 2026 National Wushu Kungfu Championship

Krisdayanti has captured public attention through accomplishments outside of the music industry. At 51 years old, the Indonesian diva successfully claimed the champion title at the 2026 National Wushu Kungfu Championship, hosted at the Main Atrium of Alam Sutera Mall, Tangerang, Banten between 22 and 26 July 2026. This achievement was earned by Krisdayanti in the Shanzi Group E Female division.

For Krisdayanti, this success is not merely a personal milestone. She views wushu competitions as part of the process to cultivate and produce the next generation of Indonesian athletes.

"My participation in the 2026 National Wushu Kungfu Championship is not just about competing. This involvement also forms part of the growth space for future Indonesian athletes to emerge. Every training session, every match, and every step in this journey is an investment to build character, discipline, sportsmanship, and competitive achievement," wrote Krisdayanti in her social media post.

In her post, Krisdayanti shared footage of her Shanzi routine performance, moments before she received the gold medal and official award certificate for first place.

Consistent Training Since 2021

Her victory at the 2026 National Wushu Kungfu Championship serves as proof of Krisdayanti's commitment to this sport.

While she has long been recognised publicly as a singer, she has undergone consistent wushu training since late 2021.

Through ongoing structured training, Krisdayanti has qualified to compete at both national and international level tournaments.

Being 51 years old did not become an obstacle for Krisdayanti to enter competitive events. On the contrary, this consistency became the critical foundation that carried her to achieve success in the wushu arena.

Previously Won Silver Medal In China

This champion title at the 2026 National Wushu Kungfu Championship is not Krisdayanti's first wushu achievement.

In 2025, she already brought honour to Indonesia by securing a silver medal at the 10th World Kungfu Championships held in Emeishan, China.

At that event, Krisdayanti competed in the Veteran category Women's Single Weapon Routines (Shanzi) division and finished in second place.

That international achievement became valuable preparation before she competed in this year's national championship. This time, Krisdayanti advanced one step further to claim the gold medal.

For Krisdayanti, her foray into competitive wushu has expanded her professional journey. Long established as one of Indonesia's top tier singers, she has now proven she can also compete and excel as an athlete.
