The achievement of young Indonesian rider Muhammad Kiandra Ramadhipa at the 2026 Moto3 Junior World Championship has received official recognition from Indonesia's Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir. The Minister assessed this accomplishment as an inspirational symbol for Indonesian Youth to strive and achieve success on the global stage.
“Ramadhipa is an inspiration for Indonesian Youth who carry resilient, unyielding spirit to carve out achievements and bring honor to the Indonesian Red and White flag on the world stage,” stated Erick Thohir via a post on his official social media account on Tuesday.
At 16 years old, Ramadhipa delivered a breakthrough surprise performance on his debut run at the legendary Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Spain.

Competing under the Honda Asia-Dream Racing Junior Team, this rider originating from Sleman, Yogyakarta demonstrated outstanding potential with consistent performance across the entire race Weekend.
In the first race, Ramadhipa finished in third position, securing his very first international career podium.
For the second race, he remained competitive with a sixth place finish, still collecting critical points for the championship Standings.
Drama unfolded during the first race: Ramadhipa initially crossed the finish line in fifth place, only 0.144 seconds separated from the race winner.
However following penalties issued to other competing riders, his position was upgraded to officially grant him third place podium - this marked a historic milestone for Indonesian Motorcycle Racing.
This achievement established Ramadhipa as the first ever Indonesian Rider to reach the podium at the Moto3 Junior World Championship.
This accomplishment also confirms that young Indonesian talent is fully capable of competing at the highest international Motorsport levels.
Erick stressed that this success was built from consistent hard work, discipline and strong fighting mentality.
He noted that Ramadhipa's breakthrough has opened wider opportunities for fellow Indonesian Riders to break through onto the global racing stage.
“Keep the spirit, keep fighting and keep achieving on the world stage,” he concluded.
This impressive result at the opening round has also shifted the provisional championship standings. Ramadhipa currently holds 2nd place overall with a total of 26 points.
The championship will proceed to the second round at Circuito do Estoril, scheduled for 12–14 June 2026.
