France delivered a convincing performance to eliminate Morocco in the quarter-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. However, progression to the semi-finals has not made Kylian Mbappé complacent. The team captain stressed that Les Bleus have not yet reached their main goal, with far greater challenges still waiting ahead.
Les Bleus secured their spot in the final four after beating Morocco 2-0 at Boston Stadium, United States on Friday. Mbappé opened France's lead in the 60th minute, before Ousmane Dembélé doubled the scoreline six minutes later.
This victory made France the first team to confirm a place in the 2026 World Cup semi-finals. Didier Deschamps' squad will await the winner of the Spain vs Belgium fixture to determine their next opponent, as both sides compete for a place in the tournament final.

"We still have a long road ahead. We know the opponents we will face next are tougher than any we have already played. We are ready for the upcoming challenge," Mbappé stated after the match, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
