Jerez – Indonesia's national anthem Raya resounded mightily at Jerez Circuit, Spain. Young home rider Kiandra Ramadhipa successfully made history by winning Race 2 of the 2026 Red Bull Rookies Cup Spanish Grand Prix series on Sunday (26/4/2026). This dramatic victory was achieved through her ingenious maneuver in the final lap.
Starting from the back of the grid in 17th position didn't diminish the spirit of this 16-year-old rider from Yogyakarta. The key to this sensational win lay in executing a well-planned tactic and precisely reading the situation when slicing through the final corner towards the finish line.
Reading the Gap in the Final Sector
Kiandra revealed her decisive maneuver wasn't accidental. She had analyzed opponents' movements and predicted the front-runners would collectively block the left lane at the last corner.

Her racing instinct sharpened as she chose an unexpected path.
"On the final lap, I saw space opening in the last sector. Before the final corner, I noticed the rider ahead moving left, so I decided to maneuver into the empty gap on the right," stated Kiandra, quoted from the official Red Bull Rookies Cup website, Monday (27/4/2026).
The bold decision to take the vacant right side paved Kiandra's golden path. After positioning her bike, the crucial challenge became executing the move without sacrificing speed.
She calibrated her braking rhythm to maintain momentum, ensuring the bike wouldn't stall abruptly mid-corner.
"I tried my best to perform the perfect maneuver... nailing the turn and achieving strong acceleration to finish. I then won my first Rookies Cup," she proudly explained.
Impressive Performance Since the Start Light Went Out
This maiden Champion title proves Kiandra's relentless fighting spirit. Starting from P17, she progressively sharpened her lap times round after round until slicing through rival packs.
Her flawless final-lap maneuver secured her first-place finish in 25 minutes 48.363 seconds. Yaroslav Karpishin took second by a razor-thin 0.212-second margin, followed by Mateo Marulanda in third.
This extraordinary Race 2 achievement also demonstrates Kiandra's rapid adaptation at Jerez. Just one day earlier in Saturday's (25/4) Race 1, she finished ninth with a time of 29 minutes 0.997 seconds.
