On the slopes of Sukabumi's hills, the expanse of tea gardens facing the majestic Mount Gede Pangrango is no longer just a green landscape. Over the past two years, this area has transformed into a meeting space between nature, culture, and the community. Goalpara Tea Park fulfills this role as the new engine of tourism in Sukabumi Regency, West Java.
Sukabumi Regent Asep Japar appreciated Goalpara Tea Park's presence in Sukaraja District, noting its tangible contribution to strengthening the region's tourism sector.
Despite its relative youth, this destination significantly impacts local tourism vitality and community pride.

According to Asep, Goalpara Tea Park isn't merely a recreational spot but a public space growing alongside the community.
This was evident during its 2nd anniversary celebration on Sunday, December 7, 2025, enlivened by the Tourism Exploration Festival.
The event, held at the Jalan Cisarua tourism area in Sukaraja District, featured artistic collaboration through a performance of 1,000 angklung played alongside the Sukabumi Regent.
"This place has become Sukabumi residents' pride destination," stated the Regent.
Furthermore, Asep emphasized that Goalpara Tea Park's contributions extend beyond boosting tourist visits.
It also preserves local arts and culture while creating empowerment opportunities for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
He noted Goalpara exemplifies concrete collaboration between government, businesses, and communities in building sustainable tourism-based regional development.
The local government, Asep added, remains committed to creating safe, comfortable, and memorable tourism ecosystems for visitors.
Sector development is expected to align with environmental conservation, local cultural values, and improved community welfare.
"Moving forward, Goalpara must innovate in tourism attraction development, human resource quality enhancement, partnership expansion, and digital promotion strengthening to broaden its recognition," he stated.
He aspires for this area to evolve into Sukabumi Regency's environmental education hub.
From management's perspective, Goalpara Tea Park Director Iwan Wahyudin described the two-year journey as crucial for strengthening foundations and commitment.
"Two years isn't long, yet it's no short journey. Commitment and togetherness keep us strong," he remarked.
Iwan affirmed continuous innovation to position Goalpara Tea Park among Sukabumi's favorite tourist destinations.
Inaugurated by former Sukabumi Regent Marwan Hamami on December 9, 2023, Goalpara Tea Park offers nature-based tourism experiences centered on tea plantations and hills.
Its open landscape featuring Mount Gede Pangrango as the backdrop is the main attraction, complemented by family-friendly facilities including tea-garden bridges, photo spots, hobbit houses, and fountain shows.(Antara)
