Scoring five goals in a single match is clearly no easy task, perhaps even sounding impossible. But for Barcelona, the Copa del Rey semifinal isn't over despite their four-goal deficit.

The heavy 0-4 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the first leg at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium has left Blaugrana on the brink of elimination. Barcelona will host Atletico in the second leg at Camp Nou on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

A four-goal deficit is a heavy burden to overcome in the second leg, a mission impossible scenario on the Spanish Football stage.

Yet optimism remains alive in the Barcelona dressing room. Brazilian forward Raphinha voiced his belief amid the pressure.

"If there's one team that can make a comeback, it's us," said Raphinha as quoted by Barca's website on Thursday.

Raphinha acknowledges Barcelona will face a difficult match. However, he is ready to face the challenge ahead.

That statement isn't mere rhetoric. Barcelona are indeed striving to rediscover their best rhythm.

After being thrashed by Atletico in the Copa del Rey (King's Cup), they stumbled again with a 1-2 loss to Girona.

But the response came quickly. A 3-0 victory over Levante last Weekend provided a morale boost ahead of the crucial week.

Before hosting Atletico in the second leg, Barcelona first face Villarreal at Camp Nou on Saturday, February 28.

That match is seen as a mental foundation, crucial capital to build momentum before the high-stakes clash against Atletico.

Another spotlight is on coach Hansi Flick. The upcoming second leg will be Flick's 100th match with Barcelona.

In his previous 99 matches, he has recorded 74 wins, 9 Draws, and 16 losses.

If he can lead his team to victory, Flick will become the coach with the second-highest number of wins in his first 100 games with Barcelona, just behind Luis Enrique who achieved 80 wins.

These numbers provide context to the challenge faced.

Barcelona are not only chasing a final ticket but also safeguarding the legacy of a comeback mentality that has long been part of the club's identity.

For Raphinha, the key to a miracle lies in something not recorded on the scoreboard: solidarity. He described the Barcelona dressing room as conducive without discord.

"I truly see a genuine atmosphere of camaraderie, and I believe much of our success comes from that," he said.

At Camp Nou, Barcelona will need not only early goals and efficiency in front of goal.

They need a perfect night, flawless intensity, disciplined defense, and the courage to attack without hesitation.

Four goals is indeed a steep mountain to climb. But in the long history of European Football, Barcelona have lived off impossible nights.
