The Indonesian contingent continues to demonstrate consistent performance at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand. A significant addition of 12 gold, 10 silver, and 13 bronze medals on Sunday, December 14, 2025, proves that the Red and White remains a dominant force in Southeast Asia.

According to data from the official website of the 2025 SEA Games Thailand committee, Indonesia has now collected a total of 152 medals, consisting of 43 gold, 56 silver, and 53 bronze.

This achievement solidifies Indonesia's position in second place on the provisional standings, maintaining a safe distance from its closest competitor.

Badminton once again emerged as a primary stronghold. The men's singles featured an all-Indonesian final, concluding with Alwi Farhan claiming gold after defeating compatriot Moh Zaki Ubaidillah. This result confirms positive progress in Indonesia's badminton regeneration.

Badminton dominance continued in men's doubles through the pair Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani who successfully delivered gold. Meanwhile, women's doubles also contributed bronze via Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari, adding depth to the Red and White badminton team's contributions.

In wushu, Edgar Xavier Marvelo delivered an impressive performance by winning gold in the combined Chang Quan, Dao Shu, and Gunshu events. This medal holds special significance as it marks Edgar's final SEA Games appearance, concluding his regionally decorated career.

Cycling contributed gold through the team road race event, showcasing Indonesia's strength in endurance and team strategy disciplines. Shooting also delivered via the men's 10m air pistol team event, reaffirming Indonesia's consistency in precision sports.

Athletics became a crucial gold source for Indonesia. Hendro Yap reaffirmed his dominance in race walking, maintaining his status as Southeast Asia's elite athlete. In long-distance events, Robi Syianturi secured men's marathon gold through steady performance and mature stamina management.

An extraordinary achievement was recorded by Odekta Elvina Naibaho. The star Indonesian runner made history by claiming a women's marathon gold hat-trick at the 2025 SEA Games, extending her dominance in athletics' most prestigious event.

With these achievements, Indonesia strengthens its second-place position in the medal tally. Vietnam trails in third place with 34 gold, 34 silver, and 66 bronze medals. Meanwhile, host Thailand remains unshaken at the summit with 132 gold, 78 silver, and 47 bronze medals, totaling 257 medals.

This medal haul strongly indicates Indonesia's effective cross-sport athlete development pathway. With remaining competitions still underway, opportunities to add gold reserves remain open while maintaining momentum toward upcoming international sporting agendas.
