Manchester United (MU) secured an important victory in the English Premier League continuation after defeating Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-1 at Molineux Stadium on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 early morning WIB. This result not only earned three points but also propelled MU to sixth place in the temporary standings with 25 points.

The Red Devils' point tally matches Chelsea in fifth place and sits just one point behind Crystal Palace who occupy the top four.

Initially Struggled Against Wolves' Low Block

MU pressed aggressively from the start. Within the first 10 minutes, Diogo Dalot and Bryan Mbeumo released two attempts on target.

However, Ruben Amorim's troops struggled to break down Wolves' disciplined low defensive block.

The opening goal finally came in the 25th minute. Originating from an Andre Trindade error, the ball fell to Matheus Cunha who then fed Bruno Fernandes to finish for the goal.

Cunha nearly doubled the lead just three minutes later, but his shot was blocked right on the goal line.

Just before halftime, Wolves launched a lethal counterattack. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde connected with a cross to level the score 1-1.

MU Rampage, Three Goals Created in Second Half

The Red Devils responded swiftly after the second half began. In the 51st minute, Dalot beat the offside trap and delivered a cross converted by Mbeumo, putting MU back ahead 2-1.

MU's confidence surged higher. In the 62nd minute, Mason Mount scored the third goal after receiving an assist from Fernandes, extending the lead to 3-1.

MU's dominance continued. They earned a penalty in the 82nd minute. Bruno Fernandes stepped up as executor and completed his duty perfectly, sealing a comprehensive 4-1 victory.

No additional goals came in the remaining time.

With this win, Manchester United now have 25 points and sit in sixth place, narrowing the gap to the Champions League zone.

Meanwhile, Wolves languish at the bottom of the standings with just two points, entrenched in a crisis situation.
