Manchester United failed to extend winning run as Magassa haunted Old Trafford with another goal.

Manchester United were held at Old Trafford in the early hours of Friday, December 5, 2025 after a 1-1 draw against West Ham in the 14th week of the Premier League. Despite an aggressive start, MU lost two crucial points needed to climb the table.

In the first half, MU immediately showcased attacking play and created several chances. Bryan Mbeumo became the first to threaten the opponent's goal with a powerful shot, but Alphonse Areola managed to save it. 

The pressure continued through Joshua Zirkzee's header, but West Ham's defense held firm.

MU kept West Ham pinned back and nearly broke the deadlock through Bruno Fernandes, though his shot went wide. Clear dominance was overshadowed by poor finishing in Ruben Amorim's squad.

The stalemate finally ended in the 58th minute. MU took the lead through Diogo Dalot's finish from inside West Ham's penalty area. The score became 1-0 to the hosts. 

That goal gave the Red Devils momentum to seal victory and extend their positive streak. But West Ham refused to surrender. 

MU sought to double their advantage through Matheus Cunha, but the visitors' defense blocked the attempt. 

Defensive lapse proved costly as West Ham equalized through Soungouto Magassa's rebound goal inside MU's penalty area. The score leveled at 1-1 in the 83rd minute.

MU pushed for a late winner, but the 1-1 draw stood until full-time.

The single point places MU eighth in the Premier League table with 22 points from 14 matches. 

Meanwhile, West Ham remain 18th with 12 points, still in the relegation zone despite earning a valuable point.

After building winning momentum, this draw serves as a wake-up call for MU as they continue struggling for consistency this season.
