Manager Pep Guardiola emphasized that the Premier League title race is far from over despite Manchester City failing to secure a win after being held to a 2-2 draw by Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium early Thursday morning WIB.
The match was fiercely contested with City taking the lead twice, but Forest consistently managed to equalize. Antoine Semenyo and Rodri put the hosts ahead, but the visitors responded through goals from Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson.
The draw earned Nottingham Forest a crucial point in their battle to escape the relegation zone while halting Manchester City’s winning streak in the league.

Nevertheless, Guardiola believes the title race remains wide open as the competition has not yet entered its final stages.
“There are still many matches to be played,” stated Guardiola on City’s official website on Thursday.
“Our focus now shifts to the next match against Newcastle United in the FA Cup.”
The Spanish coach also noted his team’s performance was actually quite solid throughout the game.
City dominated proceedings with 21 total shots, five of which were golden opportunities—twice as many as the chances created by Forest.
“There are matches where we might not deserve to win, but today overall we played well for more than 90 minutes,” said Guardiola.
However, the draw still impacts City’s position in the title race. They now trail league leaders Arsenal by seven points after the Gunners secured a 1-0 victory at Brighton & Hove Albion’s ground.
This situation forces Manchester City to bounce back immediately if they wish to avoid falling further behind in this season’s Premier League trophy pursuit.
