A surge in tourists occurred at Bali Botanic Garden during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holidays. This green destination in Bedugul, Tabanan Regency, transformed into a primary magnet for Year-End Holidays, with visitor numbers reaching 20,000 people.
This achievement shows significant growth compared to the same period the previous year, which recorded approximately 12,000 visits.
The high tourist interest demonstrates Bali Botanic Garden's increasing relevance as a Holiday destination combining nature, education, and entertainment in one area.

"Average daily visits reached 3,000-5,000 people," stated Bali Botanic Garden Manager I Dewa Putu Pasnadi Putra in Tabanan, Bali, Sunday, January 4, 2026.
The peak surge occurred precisely on January 1, 2026. On that first day of the new year, visitor numbers reached approximately 10,000 people. This figure represents a 77% increase compared to the 2025 New Year celebrations.
Beyond offering mountainous natural landscapes, Bali Botanic Garden also presented livelier holiday experiences through various special year-end programs.
One major attraction was the year-end bazaar featuring Local MSMEs, art performances, Sports and fitness activities, to flower arrangement workshops. The atmosphere warmed further with acoustic music accompanying visitors enjoying Bedugul's cool air.
The bazaar ran from Wednesday, December 31, 2025, to Sunday, daily from 08:00 to 17:00 Central Indonesia Time, making it a favorite program for tourists seeking relaxed holidays while supporting local products.
He explained that besides providing a platform for MSMEs around Bali Botanic Garden, the bazaar also aimed to deliver engaging and attractive entertainment to visitors.
Spanning 157.5 hectares, Bali Botanic Garden offers extensive and well-organized green open space. Entrance tickets remain relatively affordable at Rp15,500 per person on weekdays and Rp25,500 on holidays, making it a budget-friendly destination for young tourists and families.
Located in Candikuning Village, this area is known for its characteristic cool mountain air. From several viewpoints, visitors can enjoy panoramas of Lake Beratan from heights reaching approximately 1,500 meters above sea level, making it a favorite spot for relaxation and photography.
Besides functioning as a Conservation area, Bali Botanic Garden - inaugurated in 1959 - also serves as a research and education center. This area specifically preserves Eastern Indonesian tropical plants and houses the world's largest collection of Gymnospermae (needle-leaved plants).
