Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones revealed The Reds remain solid and fully support Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian striker, Jones added, has apologized to his teammates regarding his controversial statements several weeks ago.

Jones considers Salah an independent person who can express his desires.

"He apologized to us and said, 'If I have influenced anyone or made you feel uncomfortable, I apologize'. That's the real Salah," Jones told Sky Sport on Saturday, December 20, 2025.

Jones added he can only speak from his experience of knowing Salah.

"He is the same Mo, with a big smile on his face, and everyone treats him the same as usual. I think that's part of the desire to be a winner," he added.

The controversy began after Salah stated his relationship with Liverpool manager Arne Slot deteriorated following a 3-3 draw against Leeds United on December 7, 2025.

Slot subsequently excluded Salah from the squad when Liverpool won in the Champions League against Inter Milan three days later.

However, after talks with Slot, Salah returned to the squad last Weekend. He came off the bench in the first half against Brighton, providing one assist for Hugo Ekitike's second goal in Liverpool's 2-0 victory.

Slot later stated he had no issues requiring resolution with Salah. The forward has now joined the Egyptian national team for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Jones' statement confirms Liverpool's dressing room remains united despite recent tensions, with focus now firmly on the team's on-field performance.
