Destiny Kosiso, Barcelona's Super Miraculous Wonder Kid, Heir to Messi and Yamal

Barcelona seems to never run out of miracles. Behind the legendary walls of La Masia, the academy that produced Lionel Messi to Lamine Yamal, a new name emerges: Destiny Kosiso. This 11-year-old boy is starting to capture the world's spotlight. 

Last week, the wonderkid's journey entered a bigger chapter. Kosiso officially signed a collaboration contract with Nike. The deal with this renowned brand further elevates his name on the global football future map.

“A new journey has begun for Destiny Kosiso,” wrote Nike in a post featuring a photo of Kosiso signing the contract.

“At just 11 years old, Destiny signed with Nike last week.”

“He's young, talented, and doing it,” continued the American sports equipment giant.

Nike Sees a Big Star in a Small Body

For Nike, this isn't the first time they've moved quickly to secure super young talent. Previously, they partnered with Kauan Basile (8), Shaun Kluivert (9), and Sky Brown (10). Yet there's a strong reason why Destiny Kosiso's name prompted them to act again.

The 2024–2025 season became the initial stage of this wonder as the child scored 145 goals in 52 matches.

His phenomenal record earned him the nickname 'super wonderkid' from talent scouts.

“He is highly respected in Barcelona's youth academy,” said renowned agent Pini Zahavi.

Blessing for the Family, Hope for the Future

For the Kosiso family, this achievement means more than just recording accolades. Ejike Paschal, Kosiso's father, expressed gratitude for having three children at Barcelona.

“They all play well, but I think Kosiso is slightly better at this level,” he revealed.

At such a tender age, Kosiso's path to professional football remains long. But Barcelona knows exactly how to polish gems into diamonds. 

Messi once walked the same corridor. Yamal followed a similar trail. Now it's Kosiso's turn to tread that path with great expectations on his shoulders.
