Barcelona are pulling further away from the chase of Real Madrid. The Blaugrana solidified their position atop the LaLiga standings after crushing Espanyol 4-1 in Week 31 of LaLiga at Camp Nou on Sunday WIB.

This result isn't just a big win, but also extends Barcelona's lead over their closest rivals Real Madrid in this season's LaLiga title race.

Barcelona's victory featured goals from Ferran Torres (2), Lamine Yamal, and Marcus Rashford, while Espanyol briefly reduced the deficit through Pol Lozano.

With this win, Barcelona have collected 79 points from 31 matches, leading second-placed Real Madrid by nine points.

Conversely, this defeat leaves Espanyol in 10th place with 38 points from 31 games, six points adrift of European qualification spots.

From kickoff, Barcelona pressed high and demonstrated game dominance. This pressure yielded quick results in the 9th minute.

Lamine Yamal's corner kick was converted by Ferran Torres for the opener. The score changed to 1-0 for the hosts.

Barcelona maintained pressure and doubled their lead when Torres scored his second in the 25th minute.

Another chance came through Fermin Lopez, but was denied by Espanyol Goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic.

Entering the second half, Espanyol briefly fought back. Pol Lozano capitalized on a rebound in front of Barcelona's goal to narrow the score to 1-2 in the 56th minute.

But Barcelona retained control of the game and continued pressing until the final whistle.

After providing two assists, Lamine Yamal finally scored himself in the 87th minute, converting another rebound to make it 3-1.

Just two minutes later, Barcelona extended their lead when Marcus Rashford's strike beat the visitors' keeper in the 89th minute.

Until the final whistle, Barcelona remained dominant and secured a 4-1 victory.

With a nine-point advantage over Real Madrid, Barcelona are firmly on track for this season's LaLiga title.
