Persib Bandung arrives in Singapore with heads held high. Ahead of their heated clash against Lion City Sailors in matchday five of AFC Champions League Two Group G 2025/26 on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 evening, midfielder Thom Haye declared Maung Bandung possesses strong capital to secure three points at Bishan Stadium.

Haye, one of Persib's key players this season, believes the team's development is on the right track.

He cited the squad's increasingly solid unity as the main strength against The Protectors, who are fighting to keep their qualification hopes alive.

"Time together with the team is a good thing. We have great chemistry and atmosphere," stated Haye in an official release from Bandung.

However, the Dutch midfielder acknowledged the opponent's quality. Though Lion City Sailors face pressure to win, they still boast players capable of troubling Persib.

"They have strong players. We know this will be a difficult match. But we'll show the same performance as in our previous meeting," he said.

For Haye, the packed match schedule isn't a complaint. Maung Bandung is competing in two tournaments, and he considers this rhythm part of the process toward peak performance.

He emphasized all players need to execute what they've prepared in training. If achieved, Persib stands a strong chance of securing maximum points.

"If we can keep winning, we'll be extremely happy. So we must deliver," he stressed.

Meanwhile, captain Marc Klok echoed hopes for Bobotoh supporters' presence in Singapore. After witnessing thousands of fans at their away match against Selangor FC in Kuala Lumpur, Klok wishes for similar support at Bishan.

"Hopefully everyone can travel safely and comfortably. The atmosphere in Kuala Lumpur was incredible, and I hope it happens again with massive numbers," said Klok.

While Persib only requires a draw to secure advancement, Haye and Klok emphasized Maung Bandung didn't come to play safe. They came to win and extend their blazing seven-match winning streak.
