Amid the intense pursuit of the Indonesian Super League title, Persib Bandung's position at the top of the Standings brings no pressure for Maung Bandung midfielder Thom Haye. Instead, Haye views the current situation as a prime opportunity to secure the championship.

Persib currently leads the standings with 58 points, four points ahead of closest rival Borneo FC who have collected 54 points.

As the competition enters its crucial phase, many believe pressure will mount on Persib. However, Haye dismisses this notion.

“We've created a strong position in the standings, but we all know it's not finished. I don't feel any pressure. Everyone came to this club to fight and win the league,” he stated on Liga Indonesia's official page on Friday.

The next challenge awaits as Persib is scheduled to visit Haji Agus Salim Stadium to face host Semen Padang on Sunday at 7:00 PM WIB.

Simultaneously, Borneo FC will play an away match against Madura United.

Unburdened by expectations, Haye aims to spread confidence throughout the squad, believing Persib's current standing offers the most favorable position in the title race.

“We must believe in ourselves. We're in a great position. Crucially, if we prepare well for matches, we have an excellent chance to win,” said the 31-year-old midfielder.

He added that the only important thing is to focus on quality training and match readiness.

This season marks Haye's debut in Indonesian Football, with significant contributions already: three goals and four assists from 25 appearances across all competitions.
