In the heart of Nagan Raya, Aceh, a mosque building has captured national attention. The Agung Baitul A’la Mosque, better known as the Aceh Jade Mosque, won 2nd place in the Unique Destination category at the 9th Anugerah Pesona Indonesia (API) awards held in Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan.
This achievement solidifies its position not only as a place of worship but also as a captivating religious tourism icon in Aceh.
"Besides the Jade Mosque, Gulee Jruek, a traditional dish from Nagan Raya, also secured 2nd place in the traditional food category," said Teuku Raja Keumangan, Regent of Nagan Raya, Aceh.

The government is optimistic that this recognition will boost religious tourism visits while strengthening the preservation of local culture.
