Two Pertamina Enduro VR46 riders, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli, will feature a special appearance at the 2025 MotoGP Mandalika. Their motorcycles debut a unique red-and-white batik-themed livery, launched directly by team owner Valentino Rossi in Jakarta on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

Rossi stated this weekend's race is exceptionally significant as one of the season's most important events.

"We consider Indonesia our second home. Like last year, we decided to prepare special bikes with distinctive liveries," said Rossi during his address.

The red-and-white batik pattern serves as the centerpiece of this design, blending with VR46's signature yellow and the Indonesian flag.

"The result is fantastic—our team's yellow combined with Indonesia's red-and-white. The bike looks extraordinary, and I hope we'll be highly competitive this weekend," Rossi added.

PT Pertamina Lubricants' Main Director, Werry Prayogi, emphasized that the red-and-white batik accents transcend aesthetics, symbolizing the team's affection for Indonesia.

He affirmed this livery represents VR46's spirit as a team embracing Indonesia with red-and-white passion.

He noted the inclusion of Indonesia's national flag symbolism alongside yellow representing VR46's identity. '

"This color scheme demonstrates our team's love for Indonesia, mirroring Pertamina's domestic production that represents Indonesia and supports the team in promoting global appreciation for Indonesia through the red-and-white spirit," he explained.

Meanwhile, Pertamina Enduro VR46 Director Uccio Salucci also highlighted the uniqueness of the Mandalika race.

"We dedicate this livery to Indonesia. It incorporates batik motifs," he stated.

The red-and-white batik's presence holds added significance coinciding with 2025 National Batik Day on October 2.

Batrik now graces MotoGP's prestigious racetrack—beyond catwalks and cultural events—signifying global recognition.

This fusion of traditional art and modern racing affirms batik transcends beautiful patterns, embodying Indonesian identity, pride, and spirit even on the global stage.(Antara)
