Bali's skies are bustling again not due to music festivals or surf tournaments, but because of the enthusiasm of travel enthusiasts packing the Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) 2025. Held at Trans Studio Mall Bali from Friday, October 24th to October 26th, 2025, this annual event became a paradise for travelers and bargain hunters, especially those who love vacations while staying active in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

GATF 2025 carried the theme "Because Life Deserves a Journey" and was officially opened by Garuda Indonesia's East Domestic Region Group Head, I Made Sudarma Astika, and Bank Mandiri's Regional CEO, Alexander Jonathan Patty.

Interestingly, this year Garuda opened up over 560,000 flight seats at promotional prices for both domestic and international routes. Some deals were eye-catching: Denpasar–Jakarta starting from IDR 1.2 million, Denpasar–Medan IDR 2.7 million, up to Denpasar–Jayapura IDR 4.9 million. For international routes, popular destinations like Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, and Melbourne were also available starting from IDR 2.9 million round-trip.

As the event's highlight, the participant with the largest transaction had the chance to win 1 unit of the Mitsubishi Destinator Sky Explorer car, a unique collaboration between Garuda Indonesia and popular creator Tahilalats — a creative touch making the event feel closer to the younger generation.

More than just a cheap ticket sale event, GATF also plays a role in driving the national tourism ecosystem. According to data from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), the travel rebound trend in Indonesia has continued to rise since 2023, especially for domestic destinations like Labuan Bajo, Lombok, and Yogyakarta.

Events like GATF not only boost flight occupancy but also support the sport tourism sector, as many travelers now incorporate activities like diving, hiking, golf, or marathon running into their vacation agendas.

On the other hand, Bali as the host reaffirmed its position as the main hub for tourism and travel fairs in Southeast Asia, not only as a destination but also as an inspiration for young travelers wanting to explore further.

With a modern and interactive concept, GATF 2025 became more than just a ticket exhibition; it is a travel festival. Amidst the experience-hungry and visually-driven lifestyle of the younger generation, GATF offered a combination of budget-friendly vacations, aesthetic destinations, and an exploration spirit.

So, if you have a new bucket list for 2026, whether it's running the Tokyo Marathon, diving in Raja Ampat, or just healing in Seoul, GATF is the first step to making it happen.
