The 2026 German Grand Prix will take place at the Sachsenring Circuit on 10–12 July. As the 11th round of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship, this round marks one of the key events ahead of the mid-point of the season, as riders return to battle on one of the most unique tracks on the racing calendar.

The Sachsenring is known as an anti-clockwise circuit featuring numerous high-speed corners. This track characteristic regularly produces tight, competitive racing, and has long been a favourite venue for many specialist riders.

The race weekend officially commences on Thursday 9 July with Media Day activities. A number of events will be held, including the MotoGP GearUp programme followed by the pre-event press conference featuring Fabio Di Giannantonio, Ai Ogura, and Marc Marquez.

On-track action begins Friday 10 July, with Moto3 riders opening the first free practice session at 14.00 WIB. Moto2 will follow at 14.50 WIB, before MotoGP riders take to the track for FP1 at 15.45 WIB.

The most critical session on the first day will be MotoGP Practice. Results from this session will determine which riders secure direct entry to the second qualifying session (Q2).

Competition is guaranteed to intensify on Saturday 11 July. Following the second free practice sessions, MotoGP riders will compete for the best starting grid positions in qualifying.

Once the Moto3 and Moto2 qualifying rounds are completed, all attention will turn to the MotoGP Sprint Race. This short-format race once again presents a vital opportunity for riders to collect additional championship points ahead of the main Grand Prix race.

The climax of the 2026 German Grand Prix will take place on Sunday 12 July. Race day will open with the MotoGP warm-up session, followed by the 23-lap Moto3 race and 25-lap Moto2 race.

The main MotoGP Grand Prix race will be run over a total of 30 laps. Riders will once again battle for victory at Sachsenring, a circuit that for many years has been renowned for delivering fierce competition, and acting as a showcase for riders who excel at this particular track.
