The atmosphere surrounding Wimbledon 2026 is already growing increasingly vibrant. Numerous top global tennis stars have arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London to prepare for the third Grand Slam of the season, scheduled to take place from 29 June to 12 July.
All main focus falls on world number one Jannik Sinner as the defending champion. The Italian athlete once again stands as one of the leading favourites to lift the trophy on the most prestigious grass court in global tennis.
Another star drawing equal public attention is Novak Djokovic. The Serbian tennis legend has returned to Wimbledon with a defining mission: to claim his 25th Grand Slam title while chasing a new all-time record in men's tennis history.

As cited from ATP official sources, this year marks Djokovic's 21st Wimbledon appearance. His extensive experience competing on grass courts provides a critical foundation, even as he faces non-trivial challenges this season.
In the 2025 edition, Djokovic was eliminated at the semi-final stage following defeat to Sinner. Analysts predict this rivalry will emerge as one of the tournament's biggest narratives if both players progress deep into the draw.
The 39-year-old holds a 9-4 win-loss record for the 2026 season according to ATP statistics. At his most recent prior tournament, Roland Garros, Djokovic exited in the third round after losing to Joao Fonseca.
Djokovic's motivation is amplified by the fact that a Wimbledon victory would see him equal Roger Federer's record as the men's player with the most singles titles at the tournament, at eight. This milestone remains one of the most prestigious unachieved targets for the seven-time Wimbledon champion.
Beyond these two headline names, Casper Ruud has also arrived in London, following the special celebration of his wedding in Mallorca.
The three-time Grand Slam finalist will make his sixth main draw appearance at Wimbledon, with the target of reaching the third round for the first time in his professional career.
American player Tommy Paul has also commenced official training sessions. The 2025 Wimbledon quarter-finalist arrives with high confidence after reaching the Queen's Club final, though he was ultimately defeated by Francisco Cerundolo in the championship match.
Meanwhile, Marin Cilic is also preparing for the grass court tournament that holds so many defining moments in his career. The 2017 Wimbledon finalist has entered intensive training after progressing to the fourth round in last year's edition.
Frances Tiafoe has also joined the training grounds alongside his coach Mark Kovacs. The United States player arrives in London on strong form, having won the ATP 500 Halle title one week prior - the biggest tournament trophy of his entire professional career.
With elite global players now arriving throughout the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club grounds, competition for the 2026 Wimbledon title is guaranteed to be fiercely contested right from the first day of play.
Jannik Sinner's status as defending champion, Novak Djokovic's historic ambition, and the impressive form of a whole host of other seeded players combine to promise world class tennis entertainment for fans across the globe.
