Europe's top five leagues for the 2025/2026 Season have now officially confirmed their title winners and top goalscorers. This campaign delivered a mix of long-established dominance, fresh breakthrough faces, and updated individual records across the continent.

Arsenal End City's Reign

The biggest headline comes from Arsenal, who have ended a 22-year long wait to lift the English league title once again.

Mikel Arteta's side secured the Premier League crown on matchweek 35, after Manchester City dropped points with a draw against AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

With one fixture remaining, that 1-1 result means City can no longer mathematically catch Arsenal in the standings.

This triumph carries special weight for Arsenal, coming after years of falling short against the modern Premier League duopoly of Manchester City and Liverpool.

Despite City failing to retain their title, Erling Haaland maintained his ruthless finishing form to claim the Premier League Golden Boot with 27 goals.

The Norwegian striker remained City's primary goalscoring outlet all season, further cementing his reputation as one of Europe's most prolific forwards.

Inter Milan Remain Serie A's Dominant Force

Over in Italy, Inter Milan successfully defended their status as the leading power in Serie A. Cristian Chivu's side wrapped up their 21st Scudetto on matchday 35 with a victory over Parma Calcio 1913.

Inter captain Lautaro Martínez was the face of the Nerazzurri's success this campaign, finishing as Serie A top scorer with 17 goals.

While that tally is lower than the leading marksmen in other top leagues, Martínez's consistent contribution was the foundation for Inter's steady performance across the entire season.

Barcelona Recapture La Liga Crown

Meanwhile in Spain, FC Barcelona have reclaimed the La Liga title, sealing the championship on matchday 35.

Their El Clasico victory over eternal rivals Real Madrid proved to be the defining result that set the Blaugrana on course for the trophy.

Even amid Barcelona's success, Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé delivered an outstanding individual campaign. The France National Team captain finished as La Liga top scorer with 25 goals, confirming his position as the centrepiece of Real Madrid's long term project.

Bayern Munich's Unchallenged Domination

The most overwhelming title defence came from Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. The German giants wrapped up the league as early as matchweek 30, opening up an unassailable gap over Borussia Dortmund.

Bayern's perfect campaign was capped by another exceptional season from Harry Kane. The English striker netted 36 goals to claim the Bundesliga Golden Boot for the third consecutive year.

After spending many years of his career chasing major silverware, Kane has now become the face of Bayern's domestic dominance in Germany.

Paris Saint-Germain Hold Firm At The Top

In France, Paris Saint-Germain remain unthrown at the summit. Les Parisiens secured the Ligue 1 title on matchweek 33 with a 2-0 victory against RC Lens.

In a surprise twist, the Ligue 1 top goalscorer award this season went instead to Estéban Lepaul of Stade Rennais FC. The young striker finished the campaign on 21 goals, standing out as one of the biggest breakout surprises in French football this year.

The 2025/2026 Season has shown the shifting landscape of European Football. Arsenal have emerged as a new force after two decades waiting, Barcelona have returned to the top in Spain, while Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and PSG continue their long running domestic dominance.

Beneath the title races, the battle for top scorer honours also showcased the world class quality of Europe's elite forwards.

From Haaland and Mbappé to Harry Kane, this season once again belonged to the penalty box predators who shaped the outcome of title races across the world's top five leagues.
