Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has once again cemented his status as the deadliest finisher in the Premier League, closing the season with 27 goals. The Norwegian forward claimed the top scorer title and earned the 2025/26 Premier League Golden Boot award.
This achievement marks Haaland's third top scorer title in England's top flight. His lethal finishing form has remained consistent ever since he joined Manchester City.
Haaland finished five goals clear of his closest rival Igor Thiago. The Brentford striker ended the campaign on 22 goals, and served as a critical figure leading his club's frontline throughout the entire season.

Erling Haaland goal puts Manchester City top of Premier League, displacing Arsenal.
Haaland's dominance this season extends his unbroken run of consistency in the Premier League Golden Boot race. Prior to this, the 25-year-old had already won the same award during the 2022/23 and 2023/24 campaigns.
Haaland made history immediately in his debut season for Manchester City, when he netted 36 Premier League goals in a single campaign - one of the highest single-season goal tallies in the competition's entire history.
He retained the top scorer title the following season with 27 goals. Matching this exact goal total once again this season underlines his remarkable performance stability, even amid the fiercely competitive environment of the Premier League.
This season's top scorer race saw several new names emerge. Haaland's Manchester City teammate Antoine Semenyo delivered a surprise campaign, finishing third overall in the goalscoring charts with 17 goals.
The Ghanaian international has delivered massive impact after arriving from AFC Bournemouth during the January transfer window. His addition made Manchester City's attacking line significantly sharper through the second half of the season.
Elsewhere, Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins finished as the highest scoring English player this season with 16 goals. His brace on the final matchday secured Villa's 2-1 victory over Manchester City, while also confirming the club's Champions League qualification for next season.
Directly below Watkins, Joao Pedro of Chelsea and Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest) both finished the season level on 15 goals.
Meanwhile, Viktor Gyokeres of Arsenal and Leeds United's Dominic Calvert-Lewin both closed the season with 14 goals apiece.
Haaland's ability to sustain this elite level of performance confirms that Manchester City still possesses the most consistent goalscoring force across the Premier League.
At only 25 years old, Haaland has clear and open opportunity to continue adding more Golden Boot awards to his collection over the coming seasons.
