Indonesia is fielding its finest talents on the global badminton stage. A total of 12 national representatives have officially confirmed their participation at the BWF World Tour Super 750 Japan Open 2026, hosted at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Tokyo, Japan, from 14 to 19 July 2026.
This prestigious tournament stands as one of the most critical events on the official BWF World Tour calendar. Aside from awarding substantial world ranking points, the Japan Open acts as a key readiness benchmark for all elite international shuttlers ahead of the upcoming series of major competitions.
Three players will represent Indonesia in the men's singles category. Jonatan Christie and Alwi Farhan secured direct spots in the main tournament draw, while Moh. Zaki Ubaidillah, also known as Ubed, earned entry after being listed as the second reserve qualifier.

Competition in this category is projected to be extremely tight, as nearly every top ranked men's doubles pair worldwide has confirmed their attendance in Tokyo. Consistent match performance will be the determining factor for Indonesia's representatives to advance deep into the tournament.

With this line-up, Indonesia has qualified representatives across every competition category. This creates opportunities for the national squad to contend for titles across multiple divisions.

Athletes' performances in Tokyo will provide valuable momentum to retain their world ranking positions, while also building competitive confidence for future major tournaments.
Securing strong results in Japan will deliver positive morale for the Indonesian squad, as the nation works to uphold its longstanding legacy of achievement at the elite level of world badminton.
