Persib Bandung confirmed their status as 2025/26 Super League champions after securing a 0-0 draw against Persijap Jepara in the final matchweek at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium on Saturday, 23 May 2026. This single point was enough for Maung Bandung to finish top of the table, completing an historic hat-trick of three consecutive league titles.
A celebratory atmosphere had already descended on the GLBA Stadium long before kickoff. Tens of thousands of Bobotoh supporters packed the stands, desperate to watch their side lift the trophy on home soil. The home side responded to this huge expectation with an aggressive, high-intensity performance right from the opening whistle.
Thom Haye operated as the heartbeat of Persib's attack throughout the first half. The Indonesia National Team midfielder fired two quick attempts in the 4th and 5th minutes, though neither effort seriously tested the Persijap goal.

Persib maintained complete control over proceedings for the opening 15 minutes. However Persijap defended with rigid discipline, holding a compact defensive block while launching occasional sharp counter attacks to relieve pressure from the hosts.
Persib's clearest chance of the half fell to Barba, who met an inch-perfect cross from Haye with a header. Completely unmarked at the far post, he could only steer his effort wide of the target.
Adam Alis came agonisingly close to breaking the deadlock just before half time. His flicked finish from another floated Haye pass was denied by an excellent stop from Persijap Goalkeeper Ardiansyah, who delivered an outstanding performance between the sticks all match.
Ardiansyah continued to frustrate the home side after the break, producing a critical point-blank save to deny Jung in the 57th minute.
Persib laid siege to the Persijap defence right up until the final 10 minutes. Beckham Putra, Jung and Adam Alis all created dangerous chances in turn, but Persijap's unyielding backline held firm to keep the scoreline unchanged.
As the final whistle blew, the entire stadium erupted. The goalless draw officially confirmed Persib Bandung as 2025/26 Super League winners, ending the campaign with 79 points from 34 fixtures.
Persib finished ahead of Borneo FC on head-to-head record after both clubs ended the season level on total points. Across their two meetings this season, Maung Bandung recorded one win and one draw against Pesut Etam - this tiebreaker ultimately decided the championship.
Borneo Score Seven But Miss Out On Title
At the exact same time, Borneo FC produced a ruthless display at home against Malut United at Segiri Stadium, Samarinda. Pesut Etam demolished their opponents 7-1, keeping their title hopes alive right until the final seconds of the season.
Mariano Peralta was the standout performer for Borneo FC. The Argentine forward opened the scoring in the 7th minute, before doubling his tally just four minutes later with a perfectly struck curling effort.
Juan Villa and Koldo Obieta added further goals to hand Borneo a 4-0 half time lead. Obieta completed his brace after the interval, before Frets Butuan pulled a single consolation goal back for Malut United.
Any faint hope of a comeback was immediately crushed as Muhammad Sihran and Kaio netted late goals to wrap up the 7-1 rout. Despite delivering a clinical goalscoring masterclass in front of their home supporters, this convincing victory was still not enough for Borneo FC to claim the league title.
This season belongs to Persib Bandung. Under enormous pressure on the final matchday, Maung Bandung showed true championship mentality to secure the vital point that etched their name into history as the first club ever to win three consecutive Super League titles.
