Now, this beloved Tourism Destination in East Java is offering travellers an entirely new experience through the Bromo Sunset Music and Culture event, held under the theme “Bromo in Wonderlight”.

Hosted at Seruni Point on the evening of Saturday 16 May 2026, this event blends art, local culture, and the mystical atmosphere of the highlands. Soft mountain mist, Bromo's signature crisp cold air, and warm lighting draped across the amphitheatre combined to create an immersive, unforgettable visitor experience.

This was never intended as mere entertainment. The event was designed as a creative platform for local artists and Creative Economy practitioners to showcase their finest works to visiting tourists.

"This initiative creates collaborative space for artists and creative economy workers to present their best work right within the Bromo tourism zone," stated Heri Mulyadi, Head of Probolinggo Regency Youth, Sports and Tourism Office.

A Different Side Of Bromo After Dark

Where travellers once flocked to Bromo exclusively to chase the morning sunrise, on this occasion the golden twilight and quiet mountain night became the main draw.

Seruni Point Amphitheatre was transformed into an open-air cultural stage, framed by the dramatic silhouette of the surrounding volcanoes. Cool highland air mingled with live music and traditional performances, building an atmosphere unmatched by any other tourist destination.

Attendees enjoyed a diverse line-up including live music sets, traditional dance, mime theatre, and solo artistic pencak silat martial arts demonstrations.

Participating art groups included mime collective Remime Remind Your Imagination, Vaizh and Friends, solo pencak silat performer Ayu Kindi Nasya, and Ayodya Bahuwarna Dance Studio.

"Through this event we are giving artists, cultural custodians and creative workers from Probolinggo Regency a stage to perform, and be seen by both local communities and visiting tourists," he explained.

Bromo in Wonderlight delivers a tourism concept that does not stop at natural scenery: it also introduces visitors to the living cultural heritage of the region.

Travellers were not only treated to iconic views of Mount Bromo, but also invited to witness the creativity of Young Generation creators from Probolinggo Regency through every performance.
