Arsenal have strengthened their position in the Premier League 2025/2026 title race after securing a convincing 3-0 victory over Fulham at the Emirates Stadium, London, on Saturday, 2 May 2026, in the evening WIB.

This positive result means Mikel Arteta's squad now has 76 points and leads second-placed Manchester City by six points. However, the competition remains open as City still have five matches left to play.

As reported on the Premier League website, Viktor Gyokeres was the hero for Arsenal, scoring two goals in the 9th and 45+4' minutes. The other goal was netted by Bukayo Saka in the 40th minute.

From the first whistle, Arsenal played aggressively and pressed Fulham's defense. This approach paid off quickly in the ninth minute.

Bukayo Saka successfully evaded Raul Jimenez before delivering a low cross across the goalmouth. The ball was then struck home by Viktor Gyokeres, giving Arsenal a 1-0 lead.

The Gunners thought they had doubled their advantage in the 29th minute through Riccardo Calafiori. However, the goal was disallowed by the referee after VAR ruled the player was offside when receiving the pass from Leandro Trossard.

Arsenal did eventually make it 2-0 in the 40th minute. This time Gyokeres turned provider, with his pass well converted by Saka to beat the Fulham Goalkeeper.

Just before halftime, Arsenal punished Fulham's defense again. In first-half injury time (45+4'), Gyokeres scored his second goal, connecting with Trossard's cross from the left flank.

Entering the second half, Mikel Arteta began making several substitutions to manage his squad's fitness. This move was taken with an eye on Arsenal's important upcoming Champions League 2025/2026 semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid in midweek.

These changes allowed Fulham more space to attack. Their best chance came in the 72nd minute through a Timothy Castagne shot. However, the effort was comfortably saved by Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya.

No further goals were scored before the final whistle. Arsenal closed out the match with a resounding 3-0 win over Fulham, maintaining their momentum in the hunt for this season's Premier League trophy.
