This win proved vital for Liverpool as it ended their negative streak and eased pressure from Chelsea FC in the race for a top-five position.

This result halted Liverpool's three-match winless run following previous defeats to Wolves and Brighton, plus a draw against Tottenham Hotspur.
With three additional points, Liverpool now have 52 points from 32 matches, placing them fifth in the temporary Standings, four points clear of sixth-placed Chelsea.
Conversely, Fulham remain stuck in 11th place with 44 points, still distant from European Qualification spots.
From kickoff, Liverpool played aggressively, pressing Fulham's defense. Mohamed Salah threatened early, but Fulham keeper Bernd Leno made the save.
Pressure continued through Cody Gakpo, though his shot missed the target. Fulham responded through Harry Wilson, but his effort sailed over the bar.
Liverpool's deadlock broke in the 36th minute when Rio Ngumoha's strike beat Leno.
Arne Slot's side doubled their lead four minutes later through Mohamed Salah, capitalizing on a Gakpo assist.
Early in the second half, Fulham had a goal disallowed due to Sasa Lukic being offside.
Liverpool maintained their 2-0 advantage until the final whistle, securing a vital home win.
In another match, Arsenal suffered a 1-2 defeat against Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday night, despite playing in front of their home supporters.
Bournemouth secured victory through goals from Eli Junior Kroupi and Alex Scott, while Arsenal temporarily equalized via a Viktor Gyokeres penalty.
Despite the loss, Arsenal remain atop the standings with 70 points, nine points clear of Manchester City who have two games in hand. Bournemouth climbed to ninth place, nearing European qualification.
