This news emerged after DeChambeau was said to have held meetings with several officials during The Masters. The meetings were believed to discuss various options should he decide to leave LIV Golf.

“According to golf industry sources, DeChambeau and his team spent part of Masters week meeting with various organizations to discuss potential options should he choose to leave LIV,” reported Brody Miller, writing for The Athletic.

Rumors about DeChambeau's future gained momentum amid reports of a staggering contract value reaching $500 million for an extension. This situation is also influenced by the decisions of several other players who have already left LIV and returned to the main competition.

Speculation has been circulating that, after several other players left LIV to join the PGA Tour earlier this year, his asking price for a contract renewal reached $500 million.

DeChambeau even leveraged his success on YouTube as a bargaining tool with all potential suitors, indicating he was only open to creating content and playing in the four major championships.
