Ranu Regulo, temporarily closed due to Extreme Weather, is now preparing to welcome tourists again. The Great Hall of TNBTS confirmed the area will reopen for Tourism activities on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
This decision resulted from a series of internal coordinations and thorough considerations.
"The Ranu Regulo area reopens for tourism activities starting March 21, 2026," stated Rudi.

The official announcement was documented in Announcement Letter Number: PG.3/T.8/TU/HMS.01.08/03/2026, issued on the same day.
However, reopening comes with restrictions—an effort to balance ANTARA tourism experience and Nature Conservation.
Daily visitor numbers are capped at 500 people.
Tourism activities operate from 08:00 WIB to 16:00 WIB, with non-camping visits permitted until 17:00 WIB.
For overnight lakeside experiences, camping quotas allow 300 people per day for a two-day, one-night duration.
Campers must arrive by 18:00 WIB with minimum standard equipment.
Tourists with planned visits between March 5-21, 2026, may reschedule.
By presenting registration and payment proof to Ranupani Resort staff, trips can be rearranged until December 31, 2026.
Behind these regulations lies a message: Ranu Regulo’s beauty must be preserved, not just enjoyed.
"We urge all parties to help maintain the ecosystem sustainability in TNBTS. Violations will incur sanctions per applicable regulations," he concluded.(ANTARA)
