Barcelona displayed a mighty performance when hosting Sevilla in the 28th week of La Liga. Playing at Camp Nou Stadium on Sunday, March 15, 2026, local time, Blaugrana secured a convincing 5-2 victory.

Raphinha became the main star of this match after scoring three goals for Barcelona. Besides the Brazilian player's hat-trick, two other goals were contributed by Dani Olmo and Joao Cancelo.

Sevilla actually put up some resistance by scoring two goals through Oso and Djibril Sow, but this was insufficient to stop the home team's dominance.

This win further solidifies Barcelona's position at the top of the standings with 70 points from 28 matches. They now hold a four-point lead over their closest rival, Real Madrid, in second place.

Meanwhile, the defeat dropped Sevilla to 14th position with 31 points from 28 matches. They remain five points clear of the relegation zone.

Barcelona immediately applied pressure from the start. A golden opportunity arose when they were awarded an early penalty.

Raphinha, trusted as the executor, performed his duty perfectly. His ninth-minute penalty beat Sevilla's Goalkeeper, Putting Barcelona ahead 1-0.

The hosts kept pressing Sevilla's defense. Dani Olmo threatened with a powerful shot, but goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos managed to save it.

Barcelona received another penalty in the 21st minute. Raphinha stepped up again and successfully scored his second goal, making it 2-0.

The two-goal advantage didn't slow Barcelona's attacks. In the 38th minute, Dani Olmo calmly finished in front of goal to extend the lead to 3-0.

Sevilla finally reduced the deficit just before halftime. Oso scored after capitalizing on Juanlu Sanchez's pass in the 45+3rd minute, making it 3-1 at the break.

Entering the second half, Barcelona reasserted their dominance. In the 51st minute, Raphinha completed his hat-trick after connecting with Fermin Lopez's pass, putting Barca up 4-1.

Barcelona's lead grew in the 60th minute. Joao Cancelo scored the fifth goal for the hosts following an individual run capped by a shot into Sevilla's net.

Sevilla still managed an additional goal during injury time. Djibril Sow found the net in the 90+2nd minute after receiving a pass from Oso.

However, Barcelona emerged victorious with a 5-2 scoreline when the final whistle blew.
