Inter Milan failed to widen their lead at the top of the Standings of the Italian League after only managing a 1-1 draw against Atalanta in the match held at Giuseppe Meazza, Saturday, March 14, 2026, evening WIB.
The Nerazzurri were initially ahead after taking the lead through Francesco Pio Esposito's goal. However, the visiting team equalized via Nikola Krstovic's goal in the second half.
The additional point keeps Inter at the top of the Standings with 68 points. Nevertheless, they haven't been able to pull away from pressure from AC Milan in second place with 60 points, who will play their 29th-week match against Lazio on Monday.

Meanwhile, Atalanta remains in seventh position with 47 points, three points behind Juventus in sixth place, according to the official Lega Serie A website.
Inter Took the Lead First
The match was open from the start. Atalanta almost scored first in the 12th minute through Gianluca Scamacca's close-range shot. However, Inter Goalkeeper Yann Sommer made a crucial save.
Despite early pressure, Inter broke the deadlock first in the 26th minute.
Francesco Pio Esposito capitalized on Nicolo Barella's short pass inside the penalty area before firing a shot that Atalanta keeper Marco Carnesecchi couldn't stop.
The goal drew protests from Atalanta players who claimed Denzel Dumfries fouled Sead Kolasinac in the buildup. Nevertheless, the referee upheld the goal.
After taking the lead, Inter appeared more comfortable controlling the game but struggled to create clear additional chances until halftime.
Atalanta Equalized
Entering the second half, Inter tried to increase pressure. A chance came in the 48th minute when Denzel Dumfries' header went wide of Atalanta's goal.
Inter had another golden opportunity in the 61st minute. Marcus Thuram received a pass from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and faced Carnesecchi one-on-one, but his shot was blocked by the goalkeeper.
Atalanta finally equalized in the 81st minute. The goal originated from a scramble after Dumfries fell during a duel with Kamaldeen Sulemana.
Atalanta's attack continued with a shot parried by Yann Sommer. Nikola Krstovic pounced on the rebound to beat Inter's keeper.
The goal sparked fierce protests from Inter, claiming Dumfries was fouled first in the buildup.
Tensions escalated two minutes later when Inter coach Cristian Chivu received a red card for vehement protests.
The 1-1 scoreline held until the final whistle.
