Amid ongoing global geopolitical uncertainties that continue to overshadow various regions worldwide, bali's tourism pulse remains steady. The island, long known as an icon of Indonesian Tourism, continues to demonstrate its resilience as a Favorite Destination for international tourists.

The Ministry of Tourism recorded that in recent weeks, tourism activities in Bali have remained normal with relatively stable hotel occupancy rates.

This condition signals that the island's appeal remains strong despite global situations, including dynamics in the Middle East region still capturing worldwide attention.

Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana emphasized the government continuously monitors international developments potentially affecting global tourist mobility.

“We're certainly monitoring the global situation very seriously. However, field data shows Bali Tourism performance in recent weeks remains stable, with maintained hotel occupancy rates. This demonstrates Bali continues to be a trusted and sought-after destination for global tourists,” stated Widiyanti Putri Wardhana in an official release confirmed in Jakarta on Thursday.

Hotel Occupancy Remains Healthy

Ministry data shows Badung Regency, Bali's main tourism hub, still records strong occupancy levels.

As of January 4, 2026, approximately 52% of Badung hotels had 41-69% occupancy rates.

Meanwhile, around 36% of hotels even reached 70-80% occupancy.

These figures reflect most hospitality properties remain in medium-to-high occupancy categories, indicating stable tourist demand.

A similar pattern appears in Gianyar Regency, known for its cultural and natural landscapes.

Here, about 53.8% of hotels recorded 41-69% occupancy. Approximately 23.1% achieved 70-80% rates, while a small portion reached 81-100% occupancy.

Despite variations among properties, Bali's overall tourism industry dynamics are assessed as stable.

Optimism Amid Global Dynamics

The government continues strengthening coordination with tourism industry players while intensifying marketing strategies across key Global Tourism markets.

This step aims to maintain the national tourism sector's momentum amid global uncertainties.

“The Ministry of Tourism is optimistic that with destination appeal, Quality Tourism experiences, and close government-industry collaboration, Indonesia remains strongly positioned as a preferred destination for global tourists amidst evolving global dynamics,” she concluded.
