The final four teams secured their spots in the Round of 16 of the 2025/26 Champions League through the playoff route on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at dawn WIB. They completed the list of teams qualifying for the knockout stage of Europe's elite competition.

Paris Saint-Germain Overcomes Monaco

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) advanced to the Champions League Round of 16 after eliminating fellow French representatives AS Monaco. A 2-2 draw in the second leg playoff at Parc des Princes sealed PSG's progression 5-4 on aggregate.

PSG entered the second leg with a 3-2 advantage from last week's first leg.

Monaco sparked hope in the 45th minute through Maghnes Akliouche's goal from Mamadou Coulibaly's assist.

Désiré Doue equalized 1-1 in the 61st minute. PSG turned the match around 2-1 in the 66th minute via Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's strike.

Jordan Teze leveled 2-2 in the 91st minute, but this wasn't enough to save Monaco.

Real Madrid Eliminates Benfica

Real Madrid progressed to the Champions League Round of 16 after defeating Benfica 2-1 in the second leg playoff at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

This victory gave Los Blancos a 3-1 aggregate advantage following their 1-0 first-leg win.

Playing without the injured Kylian Mbappé, Rafa Silva put Benfica ahead in the 14th minute.

Within two minutes, Aurélien Tchouaméni equalized for Madrid. The winning goal came in the 80th minute from Vinícius Júnior.

Atalanta Reaches Round of 16

Atalanta advanced to the Champions League Round of 16 after defeating Borussia Dortmund 4-1 in the second leg playoff at Gewiss Stadium.

This comeback victory secured La Dea's 4-3 aggregate qualification after trailing 0-2 from the first leg.

Dortmund entered with a 2-0 advantage from the initial match.

Gianluca Scamacca put the hosts ahead just five minutes into the game. Davide Zappacosta doubled Atalanta's lead to 2-0 in the 45th minute.

Mario Pašalić's 57th-minute header made it 3-0, flipping the aggregate to 3-2.

Karim Adeyemi narrowed the score to 1-3 in the 75th minute, leveling the aggregate at 3-3.

However, Lazar Samardžić sealed Atalanta's victory with an 89th-minute penalty against Gregor Kobel, securing a 4-1 win and 4-3 aggregate triumph.

Juventus Ousted by Galatasaray

Italian side Juventus saw their Champions League journey end after a dramatic extra-time elimination by Galatasaray.

Juventus led 3-0 through goals from Manuel Locatelli, Federico Gatti, and Weston McKennie, despite playing with 10 men after Lloyd Kelly's 48th-minute red card.

This lead leveled the aggregate at 5-5, forcing extra time.

In added time, Victor Osimhen scored during first-half injury time, followed by Barış Alper Yılmaz's 119th-minute goal. Galatasaray advanced 7-5 on aggregate.

The Round of 16 draw is scheduled for Friday, February 27 at 18:00 WIB.
