Spanish giants La Liga's Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a major investment to strengthen their midfield next summer. Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha has emerged as the primary target in this plan.
According to Diario AS, Madrid considers Vitinha the ideal figure to fill their midfield needs.
The Portuguese midfielder is seen as possessing the perfect combination of vision, technique, and tempo control required for Madrid's elite European-level gameplay.

However, Madrid's move is expected to face difficulties as PSG will likely resist selling Vitinha, especially since his long-term contract runs until 2029.
Given this situation, Madrid can only hope for the player's personal push to facilitate the transfer.
While monitoring these potentially complex negotiations, Madrid has prepared alternative options.
AZ Alkmaar's young midfielder Kees Smit is on their radar as a backup choice. The 19-year-old has attracted attention from several European clubs with a price tag around €60 million.
Beyond external transfers, Madrid will also reinforce internally.
Endrick and Nico Paz are scheduled to return to Santiago Bernabeu after loan spells at Olympique Lyon and Como respectively.
Both are projected to join the first-team squad next season.
Madrid's focus isn't limited to midfield. Their defense is also under evaluation following the expiring contracts of David Alaba and Antonio Rüdiger this summer.
Should both depart, Madrid would retain Dean Huijsen, Raul Asencio, and Éder Militão as primary defensive options.
As a precautionary measure, Los Blancos are monitoring Como defender Jacobo Ramon, who has impressed since last season.
Madrid holds an €8 million buy-back clause that could be activated if needed.
Additionally, Madrid has re-established contact with Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté, whose contract expires this season-end.
This situation presents Madrid an opportunity to strengthen their defense without major transfer fees.
