Bojan Hodak is on alert ahead of Persib's match against Malut United in Bandung. The Persib Bandung coach considers Malut United a visiting team that could make it difficult for Maung Bandung to secure maximum points at home.

Persib Bandung will host Malut United in week 20 of the BRI Super League at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung, Friday, February 6, 2026 at 7:00 PM WIB.

Ahead of the match, Bojan predicted the game would be tough, considering Malut United's status as one of the new forces in the league's upper echelon.

Quoted from the club's official website, Bojan stated his assessment is based on Malut United's current position in fourth place in the provisional Standings

“We predict this will be a difficult match. Malut is in fourth position, we are first. But we are playing at home, and I always hope we can get a positive result,” said Bojan.

Persib's confidence remains high, especially regarding the team's readiness. Bojan assessed his squad's overall condition is in an ideal phase to face the crucial match against a direct competitor in the top tier.

However, Persib will definitely be without striker Ramon Tanque, who is confirmed absent due to Injury.

“Our preparation is good. I am happy because several players who were not in good condition before, due to injury or recovery, are all now at their (best) performance. Only Ramon did not Train with us (in official training). The other players are fit,” said Bojan.

Ramon's absence is an important note, but it does not diminish Persib's ambition to secure three points. Maung Bandung is aiming for victory to maintain their top position in the standings.

Malut United is one of the teams with the potential to disrupt Persib's dominance at the top, so a win would have a significant impact on this season's title race map.

Persib's motivation is layered. Besides maintaining their lead in the standings, this match is also a revenge mission.

In their previous first-round meeting, Bojan Hodak's squad had to acknowledge Malut United's superiority with a 0-2 score at Kie Raha Stadium.

Now, with the support of the GBLA crowd and their status as league leaders, Persib has the opportunity to avenge that defeat. However, as Bojan Hodak emphasized, the match against Malut United will not be easy.
