Sergio Ramos is preparing to close the circle of his career in an unusual way. Not with a new contract or the captain's armband on the field, but through club ownership. The Real Madrid legend and former Spain National Team Captain is reportedly one step away from becoming the new owner of Sevilla, the club that launched his career.

According to a Football Espana report on Monday, the Sevilla acquisition process has entered the final stage in appointing the club's new owner.

After prolonged negotiations, the ownership dynamics of the Andalusian club are now pointing towards a familiar name for the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan faithful: Sergio Ramos.

Previously, a consortium from the United States led by Antonio Lappi and Fede Quintero was named as the strongest candidate to be Sevilla's new owner.

However, that process reached an impasse. This situation opened the door for Ramos, a former Sevilla player, to emerge as the leading bidder in the club takeover.

In this ambitious project, Ramos is not acting alone. He is partnering with Martin Ink, an Argentine businessman and CEO of Five Eleven Capital, a Football holding company based on US capital.

This structure positions Ramos as the central figure and the main face in the plan to buy his boyhood club.

Concrete steps have been taken. Earlier this month, Ramos was reported to have formally submitted an acquisition proposal to Sevilla's shareholders.

The 39-year-old player's offer is said to be the highest compared to other bids, especially after the US consortium withdrew from the takeover process.

Based on the Football Espana report, the consortium led by Ramos has reached an acquisition agreement worth 450 million euros or approximately IDR 8.93 trillion.

This figure underscores Ramos's seriousness about wanting direct involvement in shaping the club's future direction.

Now, the final stage awaits. Ramos hopes the acquisition process can be approved soon through a shareholder meeting in the coming weeks.

If all goes according to plan, Sevilla will enter a new era, led by a figure who not only understands football but also has a deep emotional bond with the club.
