Road to IIMS 2026 Kicks Off, Golf Becomes Entry Point to Sportainment Concept

Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) reaffirmed its position as an ever-evolving event. Kicking off the 2026 calendar, Dyandra Promosindo officially held the IIMS Golf Tournament 2026 at Sedayu Indo Golf, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), on Thursday, January 15, 2026. This tournament marked the start of the Road to IIMS 2026 series and introduced a new concept titled IIMS Sportainment.

Through this event, IIMS not only focused on automotive but also expanded into Sports and Lifestyle. Golf was chosen as the entry point to bring together industry stakeholders in a competitive yet relaxed and collaborative atmosphere.

The tournament was attended by executives from automotive manufacturers, sponsors, strategic partners, and VIP guests. Besides competing for prestigious trophies like Best Gross Overall and Best Nett Overall, the event also served as a fluid Business networking space, far removed from the formal impression of an industry forum.

President Director of Dyandra Promosindo, Daswar Marpaung, emphasized that the IIMS Golf Tournament is part of a long-term strategy to expand the automotive ecosystem through a cross-sector approach.

"We present programs that blend sports, networking, and collaboration in a sporting atmosphere. This is a concrete step to strengthen the relationship between the industry and its stakeholders," he said during the event.

This Sportainment concept is designed to reach a broader community, especially those with a strong interest in sports and active lifestyles. IIMS considers this approach relevant to the character of the urban audience, who are increasingly associating sports activities with their social identity.

Not stopping at golf, IIMS 2026 is also preparing to embrace other rapidly developing sports. IIMS 2026 Project Manager, Rudi MF, revealed that this year's sportainment will be presented on a larger and more varied scale.

"Not just golf, we are also engaging communities through Padel, Gym, and Healthy Clubbing," said Rudi.

One of the main attractions is the plan to hold a Padel competition with a car as the main prize. IIMS will also feature a dedicated Padel court, a collaboration with XYZ Padel, in the Gambir Expo area during the exhibition, making it a new magnet for the Urban Sports community.

For extreme fitness enthusiasts, the Infinite Show stage will feature an attraction titled Human vs Machine with Aji Strongman. This act is projected to become a symbol of the meeting of human strength and technology, aligning with the spirit of innovation in the automotive industry.

On the entertainment side, IIMS 2026 also ensures a more complete visitor experience. Infinite Live will feature a lineup of top Indonesian musicians throughout the exhibition from February 5–15, 2026. Raisa and Dewa 19 Feat Marcello Tahitoe are confirmed to perform, joined by cross-generational musicians like Iwan Fals, Tulus, Bernadya, and Jamrud.
