Faldo Series Indonesia Champion, Four Junior Golfers Secure Spots to Vietnam

Four Indonesian Junior Golfers secured their spots on the Asian stage. Consistent play and composure in crucial moments led them to become Champions at the Faldo Series Indonesia. This success also guaranteed their tickets to compete in the 17th Faldo Junior Tour Asia Grand Final at Laguna Lang Co, Vietnam.
The West Course of Gunung Geulis Country Club witnessed the emergence of four Indonesian representatives for the Asian grand final.
The tournament took place from February 6-8, 2026, in Bogor, West Java, featuring two main categories: Faldo Junior Tour and Faldo Futures Tour.

In the Boys U21 division, North Sumatran Golfer Kifata Aftar became Champion with a total score of 216, or three over par. He held a one-stroke lead over Kenneth Henson Sutianto from DKI Jakarta.
“Today I really didn’t look at the leaderboard. Suddenly, when I finished, it turned out I was the winner. I just played safe and went through the process,” said Kifata.
Tight competition was also seen in the Boys U16 class. William Justin Wijaya from East Java emerged as the leaderboard topper with a total score of 213 (even par), after scoring 69 in the final round. He led by one stroke over Yujun Cha from Sim’s Academy.
“The most important thing is staying calm under pressure, especially on the final holes,” said William.
In the Girls U21 category, Sania Talita Wahyudi from Maja Golf Club delivered a dominant performance. She secured the championship title with a total of 218, or five over par, leading by eight strokes over Renoctoviana Ramadhiani Said from DKI Jakarta.
“The course was tougher due to Rain, but I managed to maintain my game. I’m happy to win and qualify for Vietnam,” said Sania.
Meanwhile, in the Girls U16 class, West Javan golfer Elevania Nurfasha showed consistent performance, emerging as champion with a total score of 233. She led by 13 strokes over Freya Julia Davania from North Sumatra.
All four Faldo Junior Tour champions will represent Indonesia at the Faldo Junior Tour Asia Grand Final in Vietnam from April 22–24, 2026.
Besides the Faldo Junior Tour, the Faldo Series Indonesia also held the Faldo Futures Tour, which qualified 12 young golfers for the Futures Final at Belfry, England.
In the boys' sector, Dyllan Michio Satriobudi won the 11-12 year class, Bradley Tanady was the best in the 9–10 year class, and Hiro Isaac Sung emerged as champion in the 7-8 year class.
In the girls' sector, Cheng Guo won the 11-12 year class, Amira Permadi became champion in the 9-10 year class, and Rayna Rachmat performed best in the 7-8 year class.
Chairman of Birdie Bandits Agung Budiman emphasized that the Faldo Series is part of the long-term national Junior Golfer development program initiated by Gunung Geulis Country Club since 2025.
“This tournament is an international junior event that had been absent for a long time in Indonesia. We are committed to hosting the Faldo Series for the next three years,” said Agung.
The success of these four junior golfers marks an important step for Indonesia in preparing young talents at the Asian level.(ANTARA)
