Indonesian Women's Golf Team is targeting a top-three finish at the Queen Sirikit Cup 2026. The 46th edition of the tournament, held in Bogor, West Java, from 12–15 May 2026, serves as an important stage for Indonesia to gauge its strength at the Asia-Pacific level.
Indonesian team captain, Alga Topan, affirmed that preparations have been carried out intensively, with training centralized at the tournament venue.
“For the 46th Queen Sirikit Cup this year, we have been training since last week. We are centralized at Sentul Highlands Golf Club,” said Alga.

Beyond just routine training, the Indonesian team is also maximizing the adaptation process to the course characteristics and changing weather conditions throughout the day.
“We have conducted three course tests, then practiced around the driving range and putting green areas to better familiarize ourselves with the environment here, the weather from morning to noon, so that all players can adjust,” he said.
Indonesia is fielding three young golfers: Bianca Naomi Laksono, Abigail Rhea Soeryo Wiharko, and Lydia Hawila Stevany Sitorus. This combination is expected to provide competitiveness amidst the tight regional competition.
According to Alga, this year's challenge is much tougher. Strong nations such as South Korea, Japan, Thailand, New Zealand, and China are confirmed to field their best squads.
Nevertheless, Indonesia remains focused on a realistic yet ambitious target: to repeat or even surpass the podium achievement from the previous edition.
“Our target is top three. Hopefully, at least top five. That is the best realistic target considering all the players coming this week are the Best Players,” said Alga.
As a note, Indonesia made history at the Queen Sirikit Cup 2023 in the Philippines, when the team, strengthened by Elaine Widjaja, Kristina Natalia Yoko, and Holly Halim, placed third among 12 participating countries. The latter two have now even stepped up to the professional level.
This tournament is one of the most prestigious amateur women's competitions in the Asia-Pacific region, with 13 member countries of the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) taking part, including Japan, South Korea, Thailand, India, Vietnam, and New Zealand.
With its status as host, public support, and thorough preparation, Indonesia now hopes to make the Queen Sirikit Cup 2026 a momentum for revival at the Asia-Pacific amateur Women's Golf level.
