The ambition of the Saudi Arabian League to continuously attract the world's biggest stars shows no signs of fading. This time, the spotlight is on Al Ittihad, which has openly declared its readiness to do whatever it takes to bring Lionel Messi to the club, including preparing a contract with unlimited value.

Al Ittihad's boss Anmar Al Haili has long dreamed of acquiring the captain of the Argentine National Team. The club nicknamed The Chief is even said to have prepared a fantastic sum since Messi was still wearing the Paris Saint-Germain jersey.

Al Ittihad has targeted Messi since La Pulga was still playing for PSG. A massive fund reportedly amounting to 1.4 billion euros was prepared to realize this transfer.

However, in 2023, this pursuit became one-sided. Messi rejected Al Ittihad's offer and chose to move to Inter Miami in Major League Soccer, prioritizing family factors and Lifestyle in the United States.

In MLS, Messi immediately transformed Inter Miami's fortunes. He turned the underdog team into champions, earning the club nicknamed Vice City a Contract Extension until 2028.

Despite this, Al Ittihad's interest never truly faded. Al Haili reaffirmed his club's readiness to welcome Messi anytime, even with unconventional contract schemes.

"If Messi agrees to sign a contract with Al Ittihad, I'll offer him a deal where he can get any amount he wants," stated Al Haili, as reported by The Sun.

He emphasized that financial matters pose absolutely no obstacle for his club.

"Whatever he wants, even for a lifetime. Having Messi here in Saudi Arabia wearing our uniform means nothing economically to me," he added.

For Al Haili, Messi's arrival represents not just club prestige but a symbol of the league's overall strength.

"We'd celebrate the league even before it starts because we'd have the best player in Football history," he explained regarding the desire to bring Messi to Al Ittihad.

This statement reaffirms how aggressively Saudi Arabian clubs pursue world megastars.

Although Messi remains under long-term contract in MLS, the message from Jeddah is crystal clear. Al Ittihad's door always remains open for Lionel Messi, with a blank check ready to be filled anytime.
