Persija Jakarta speaks out after one of its foreign players, Allano Lima, became a victim of racism in the digital space. The racially charged attack appeared in the comments section of Allano's personal Instagram account shortly after the heated BRI Super League match against Persib Bandung on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

The incident triggered a reaction from Persija management. The club affirmed its position standing by the player and does not tolerate any form of racism that violates humanitarian values and Sportsmanship.

"Persija fully stands with Allano Lima. The club provides complete moral and psychological support to our player and ensures he isn't alone in facing this situation," stated Persija manager Ardhi Tjahjoko in an official release on Monday, January 12, 2026.

For Persija, racism isn't merely an ethical issue but a real threat to the integrity of national Football.

The club considers such actions immoral behavior that tarnishes the values of diversity and unity long upheld in Indonesia.

The Jakarta-based club expressed deep disappointment that such disgraceful acts continue to recur. Racism constitutes verbal violence that wounds human dignity.

Allano Lima responded with a firm yet reflective statement. He chose to turn this bitter experience into a mirror reflecting his life and career journey.

"I'm proud of who I am, proud of what I've achieved. This racist act actually shows How far I've grown from my starting point. The tree bearing abundant fruit is the one most often stoned. Now it's time to return to work and continue our journey. The road remains long. We'll keep fighting," he said.

Going beyond moral condemnation, Persija urged concrete action from all national Football stakeholders to prevent similar cases from recurring.

Persija pushed league operators, federations, supporters, and other football stakeholders to take firm, serious, and consistent measures in eradicating all forms of racism, both in stadiums and digital spaces.

Persija believes football should be a safe space for sporting competition and mutual respect, not a battlefield for hatred and discrimination.

Beyond racism, the club nicknamed Kemayoran Tigers also highlighted the proliferation of hate speech and threats in public spaces, deemed dangerous to football's ecosystem.

Through this firm stance, Persija hopes this moment becomes a turning point for Indonesian Football to cleanse itself of racism, both in stadium stands and social media timelines.

The club emphasized that true victory isn't just about the scoreboard but about preserving the dignity of the game itself.
