Persib Bandung failed to secure full points during their visit to Persik Kediri's home ground. The Bandung Maung was held to a 1-1 draw by the White Tigers after conceding a late goal.

Week 16 of the BRI Super League featured Persik vs Persib. The match took place at Brawijaya Stadium, Kediri, on Monday, January 5, 2026, evening WIB.

Persib arrived with ambitions to secure a win and maintain their position in the upper standings. The home team threatened in the 24th minute, but Ezra Walian's free kick still sailed over Persib's crossbar.

Persib responded in the 37th minute through Thom Haye's shot, which was blocked by Persik's defensive line. The score remained 0-0 until halftime.

Persib increased their attacking intensity early in the second half. Julio Cesar's strike forced Persik goalkeeper Leonardo Navacchio into making a save.

Persib's pressure finally resulted in a goal in the 68th minute when substitute Saddil Ramdani capitalized on Berginho's cross. Persib led 1-0.

However, Persik refused to surrender. The referee awarded a penalty to the hosts in the 78th minute following Julio Cesar's foul on Mochammad Supriadi in the box.

But the penalty was overturned after reviewing the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) replay.

Persib's situation worsened when Saddil Ramdani received a second yellow card for a foul on Yusuf Meilana.

Capitalizing on their numerical advantage, Persik equalized during injury time. Muhamad Firly's header forced the match to end 1-1.

This result places Persib third in the temporary Super League Standings with 35 points, while Persik climbs to eleventh place with 19 points.

By securing only one point, Persib failed to return to the top of the standings.
