The New Year 2026 holiday in Mandalika is no longer just about tropical beaches and sunsets. At the heart of this area, Pertamina Mandalika Circuit transforms into an experiential Tourism Destination that allows the public to directly enter the international racing track and feel the Motorsport atmosphere from the closest distance.
Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) presents a motorsport-based tourism program titled Mandalika Experience until January 4, 2026. This program is open daily from 06:00–18:00 Central Indonesia Time and accessible to the general public.
"We want people to not only view the Mandalika Circuit from outside, but also directly experience being on the track," stated MGPA Director Priandi Satria in Central Lombok on Friday, December 2, 2026.

MGPA is the company appointed by Injourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) to manage Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit.
Through this program, the circuit typically associated with MotoGP roars and international racing events transforms into a tourist playground.
Visitors can walk the track via the Lampaq program at the Circuit, try the Track Experience, and hunt for souvenirs through the Official Mandalika Circuit Merchandise promotion.
However, the main attraction remains the Taxi Ride experience – touring the circuit track in a race car driven by professional drivers.
This program is most popular among visitors as it offers the sensation of speeding on a world-class circuit track.
Through the Taxi Ride program, visitors tour Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in race-modified cars with experienced drivers.
This program is designed so visitors can feel the circuit's speed and turns without needing to drive themselves.
For some visitors, this experience feels like a dream come true. Firli, a tourist from Sidoarjo, admitted feeling comfortable and safe despite the car's high speed on the track.
"So enjoyable, the driver was nice and friendly. No need to fear because the safety measures were really noticeable," said Firli.
Meanwhile, Weli Yunus from Malang described a more emotional sensation.
"Finally got to experience speeding inside the circuit. Got the adrenaline rush, felt like actual racing," he expressed.
During the New Year holiday promotion period, Taxi Ride is offered at Rp300,000 for two laps – more affordable than the normal rate of Rp650,000 for three laps.
With a concept blending sports, technology, and Tourism, Mandalika now becomes not just a race-watching destination, but a space for tourists to "enter the story".
Tourists can directly experience what it's like to be on a world-class racing track, making this one of Indonesia's most unique Experiential Tourism offerings today.(Antara)
